What are immune and lymphatic systems in human? What is the difference between lymphatic and immune systems? Immune and lymphatic systems are one in the same thing, these two systems are related to each other and have the same or similar purpose.

What is the lymphatic system?

The lymphatic system is a network of blood vessels through which lymph is drained into the blood. The main components of the lymphatic system are lymph, lymph nodes, lymph vessels, thymus, and spleen. The fluid that circulates throughout the body is called lymph.

The tissue fluid that drains into the lymphatic system is called lymph. Lymphocytes are rich in lymphocytes, which are cells of the immune system. The lymph that forms in the digestive system contains a lot of fat and is called milk numbness. 

Chyle is a milky white liquid. Lymph vessels carry lymph around the body. Lymph nodes are small bean-shaped organs that filter out harmful substances. They also contain lymphocytes and macrophages. The main lymph nodes occur in the tonsils, neck, groin, armpits, adenoids, and mediastinum. 

Swelling of the lymph nodes is a response to the infection. T cell maturation occurs in the thymus. The thymus is between the sternum and the heart. The spleen is in the upper left abdomen. It filters defective red blood cells. The components of the lymphatic system are shown in Figure1.

The lymphatic system purifies the cellular environment. It drains proteins and tissue fluid into the circulatory system. It also absorbs fats and fat-soluble vitamins from the digestive system and excretes them in the blood. Finally, the lymphatic system is involved in the body’s defenses from pathogens.

What is the immune system?

The immune system is a reaction of an organ or body that provides resistance to infections and toxins. It means that the immune system protects the body from harmful foreign substances. The immune system is made up of proteins, cells, and organs. 

When a pathogen enters the body, the immune system recognizes it and triggers an immune response. The two types of immunity are innate immunity and adaptive immunity. Innate immunity Causes a non-specific immune response against all types of pathogens. 

Phagocytosis is performed by macrophages, dendritic cells, mast cells, monocytes, and neutrophils. Adapted immune pathogen-specific immune responses occur within . The two types of adaptive immunity are humoral immunity and cell-mediated immunity.

Humoral immunity , i.e., trait B cells, produces antigen-specific antibodies. These antibodies bind to specific molecules on the surface of the pathogen and neutralize the pathogen. This neutralization removes pathogens from the circulation. 

It also supplements proteins that expose the pathogen to phagocytic cells or destroy the pathogen. In other words, humoral immunity acts primarily on circulating extracellular pathogens. In contrast, it acts on intracellular pathogens that infect cell-mediated somatic cells Infected cells are destroyed by inducing apoptosis by cytotoxic T cells. T-helper cells induce antibody production in B cells. 

The function of helper T cells is shown in Figure 2 .
